50 years of the 500

Yesterday in Turin the new Fiat 500 was launched, exactly 50 years to the day since the first model. What a celebration. It was hard to move anywhere. Luckily, your roving reporter was there to capture this historic event. Below are photos of the old version, as lots of fans were in the city. The new model is quite similar though.

Doesn't look any different from the original Fiat 500. Perhaps it is like the "Tardus" inside?

Where have all these little cars been hiding? Didn't see a single one on a 3 week trip round Italy last year.
