New site launched!

As promised my new website was delivered on time - 1st January 2008. It is all about Italy and will more or less replace this blog. I will continue every so often to write and post things here though.

Rugby World Cup Semi Final: England beat France

How did you watch England beat France?
I watched it live from North Wales using Skype (not Sky!) technology (small webcam pointed at my parents tv). The Italians are not at all interested in the Rugby World Cup (even when they were playing) so it's not shown on tv.
Maybe for the final I will find an English bar in Turin.

Who is behind the mask?

Responding to a comment left about the last post;
The costume is of that of the Umbrian Brotherhood, also known as the Company of Good Death, a confraternity for burying the dead, especially abandoned bodies and those unable to to afford proper burial. Formed in 1535. They wore hoods so as not to be identified.
