The return of the tram

This week I thought I would do a little article on trams. Milan is full of them. Luckily I am very fond of them and they are a very good photographic subject. Here are a few of the photos I took recently. They can also be quite dangerous and there have been a few crashes. A couple of months ago I was ‘lucky’ enough to pass by after a crash between a bus and a tram. I had my camera with me. No one was hurt. You can see all the trams lined up because of it. Last weekend I ended up walking back from the Duomo to my house after the tram service was suspended due to a crash. There was also a small article last week in the Metro about yet another crash. When we had bad weather in December trees were blown onto the tracks cancelling all the trams. There have been a lot of problems but I wouldn’t want to be without them.
