Italian Trains

Italian trains few and crowded. The penultimate in Europe.
What a nice headline to greet me last week. I knew trains were pretty bad here – a ‘sciopero’ (strike) nearly every week, lots if angry passengers (or is it customers these days?), dirty old trains etc etc. But I didn’t realise just how bad. I was only cheered up by the fact it said the worst country for trains in Europe was …wait for it… UK! That will be no surprise to most of you but Italians seem to think that the UK has a great train service (wonder why they thought that?). The article at least said that Italian trains are cheap – about a third of the price of the trains over in good old blighty.

Nice one Mike.

That reminds me....

I went to the train station the other day and asked for a return ticket.

The guy over the counter said "Where to?"

I said "Back here of course!!!!!"

Pizza.
