The two sides of football

Captain's (cappuccino) log - stardate 10 July 06.

What a game!!! or should I say NOT a game?! Pretty rubbish final. But Italy won and the party in this country has begun.
For all those back in blighty I now know what it is like to be in a world cup winning country.
There was an absolutely fantastic atmosphere in the large piazza in Turin after the game. It felt good to win, but I am sorry for the state of the game. Zidane was a disgrace and will always be remembered for this action, his last ever game of professional football. For sure his head must be empty to do something like that, so at least he didn't hurt his brain.
Forza Italia.
Nice to see Buffon and Bartez embracing. At the end of the day it's only a game (try telling that to the Italians!).
When I process the photos I took of me after the game I will put them here.
Ciao.

Long before you were even thought of we knew what it was like to live in a world cup winning country. (A country with a good team who won a great final) Yes, we are talking about "1966".
Those where the days. Bring back "Bobby Charlton and the boys" The MD

As Pele would say "Willkommen zum fussball?!"

Well done Italy. I feel sorry for Henry, losing Champions League and World Cup finals.

Zizou? What were you thinking? What a way to end a career.

Mind you, you should have seen Mike (or 'Chopper' Coyle as we used to call him) on a five-a-side pitch. Makes Zizou look tame!!
